This is the second article about
NicheFinder keyword research software.
It describes some technical details of how NicheFinder works,
and what it can do for a keyword research professional.
You can basically enter one keyword, press "Auto"
button, and have a list of related keywords with the most important
statistics in a few minutes. Or, you can generate a list
without the statistics, insert or delete several keywords,
and then load the figures you need, one by one.
You can set the desired number of keywords per query
(up to 500; 200 in demo version) in NicheFinder settings.
When generating list, NicheFinder first takes Overture
suggestions. For popular words, there can be up to 100 of them.
For less popular words, there can be only several, or none at all.
Then, NicheFinder will find the top-ranking sites in
Google for your query, and will start looking for more
keywords on those sites. In most cases, this will allow you
to collect hundreds of keywords, unless you enter something
really rare. And the keywords are far from obvious, unlike
Overture results. You can never think of some of them yourself.
The resulting list needs some cleanup. You can review
each keyword by hand, sort them by numbers, or blacklist
the sites that produce too much junk keywords. You can also
set the minimum number of words per key phrase, to avoid
too generic one-word keywords, which are useless to target.
When your keyword list is ready, you can load any statistics
you need - Demand from Overture, Supply from Google (HotBot version),
number of ads on Google and Overture.
KEI
is automatically
calculated when you have Demand and Supply figures.
After you load all the necessary numbers, you can sort
the results, and delete the keywords that don't meet your
needs. Then, you can save the results as a CSV spreadsheet,
HTML report, or a plain text list.
