This is the second article in our
"NicheFinder
vs. Others" series.
WordTracker is the oldest, and by far, the
most famous keyword research tool. It uses the
requests database collected by MetaCrawler and
other Infospace meta search engines.
WordTracker's most useful feature is that,
unlike most other tools, it counts different
word forms (singular / plural, etc.) separately.
It makes it a good addition to other tools.
Unfortunately, WordTracker charges their
customers repeatedly, and it costs hundreds
of dollars annually. So, it is probably only
reasonable to use for professionals who earn
their living on keyword research.
With NicheFinder, you pay once, and can do
an unlimited amount of keyword research for
years to come. Plus, you receive free upgrades,
as we add more features.
WordTracker has the smallest number
of additional features, compared to any other
keyword research software. You can't do much
more than see the 3 basic figures for each keyword.
NicheFinder allows you to see the number of
paid listings in Overture and Google, and find
creative keywords at many different sites, to
name a few advanced features. We are continuously
adding new ones, and remember, the upgrades are free.
There are different opinions about which
database is better for keyword research. Some
experts argue (and we agree) that Overture
database, which we use in NicheFinder, has
a larger market reach, and thus, more precise
and useful results.
Keyword lists generated by NicheFinder
are bigger and more creative than you can
get with WordTracker. You must see this for
yourself - download
the free demo and try.
